To see in color is a delight for the eye but to see in black and white is a delight for the soul.I am going to be away this week for work. My life will be lived out in colour as I take in all the new things and see the world through my other eyes. I will leave part of me behind, keep it hidden and protected as I wear my mask for others. I will tell my half truths, half of each story and half of each thought. I will be the person others see. My life, usually balanced into carefully managed parts, will become about just the one. I will embrace being immersed in the colour, but the black and white will remain in my soul.

Yes that is very true. And I am finding it easier than last time. Not as warm in the NL as I thought though!
I think we all get the half-truths bit. Living carefully compartmentalized takes energy and forethought, but it is worth it and it feels weird when we only have to focus on one. Enjoy that brief freedom.
